What you should know before you buy.

You're buying the real product. The first public releases of Cleat ship as a beta: expect some rough edges while we get to 1.0, and tell us about them from Support. The license you buy now is the same one you keep afterwards.
Nothing changes. The same key covers 1.0 and every 1.x release after it, at no extra cost. We'll release 2.x someday, and that will be a paid upgrade.
The first 50 copies are 75% off. Each time a step's 50 copies sell, the next step opens 5% higher. The ladder stops at 25% off; after that Cleat is full price. Whatever step you buy at is the price you pay, once, and it never changes.
Yes. Your license unlocks the current major version (1.x) and every minor and patch update within it. No subscription, and nothing renews.
You can run Cleat on up to 3 of your own machines at once (desktop, laptop, work computer). Manage and deactivate them anytime from your account. Need more? Email us — we're reasonable.
Not during the beta. For now each person buys a single-user license. If you're buying for a team, get in touch and we'll sort something out.
Checkout is handled by LemonSqueezy: all major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and SEPA for EU customers. You'll get a receipt by email, and a VAT/sales-tax invoice on request.

During the beta, the beta price is the best one we have. Once it ends: 50% off for verified students, faculty, OSS maintainers, and registered non-profits. Email us from your school or org address.
Yes. License verification is a one-time online check, then Cleat works offline forever. If the licensing server goes dark, your existing installs keep running. We're a small company; we'd rather build trust than leverage.
The Cleat app itself is paid (free 14-day trial). The plugin ecosystem and SDK are open-source on GitHub. We think this is a fair split — the core tool funds the platform.
